Resonant Coast (2025)

Fall 2025

Awarded the 2025 Connecticut Sea Grant Arts Support Award, Resonant Coast is a sonic and visual exploration of memory, migration, and identity along the shifting shorelines of the American coastline. Conceived and led by violinist and interdisciplinary artist Ilana Zaks and composed by Brannon Warn-Johnston, the project traces personal and collective histories through music, storytelling, and site-responsive performance.

Merging classical violin with archival recordings, ambient field sound, and projected imagery, Resonant Coast invites audiences to listen deeply to the land, to the sea, and to the stories that echo between them
